Just on it. The workouts are going great!! I am so excited to post my recent accomplishment. I have been wanting to really get a good intense workout on the elliptical machine. Well, that machine is a beast. A freaking franking BEAST. The first time I got finished 3 mins and thought, BUMP This!! I tried again yesterday and was able to do 5-6 mins before almost passing out. Well today........Yes, today......I went in thinking, "Yes I Can. Yes I Can. Yes, I can!" And I did!! I mastered that bad boy. I fought through the pain and completed 23 mins!! Oh what a happy day. Yeah, I did a happy dance when I got off. Yes I did. <br /><br />I have started doing other works for the last few days and it's going well. I did some weights, crunches, and lunges. I spent most of the evening glued to the tube watching the election. Big Congrats to President Obama. I voted! I know, "What line??"^^ It was lovely.<br /><br />Today it was hard as nails for me to get out the bed to workout. I am a true pillow hugger and a snooze queen! I am soooo not a morning person!! I was pressed for time when I finally got out of bed. I did a quick 20 min workout on the treadmill. I raised the incline and Oh My Word, that kicked my butt. I felt like I was running up a freaking hill the full workout. I was going to give up and reduce the incline until Marvin Gaye's Sexual Healing came on the MP3 player. Yeah, I felt like old folks in a cafe'. I yelled out, "This is my jam!" and kept walking. (Thank goodness this came at the end of the workout and I wasn't running!) Special thanks for the good ole oldies!! I have changed the preset on the treadmill from 20 mins to 30 mins. I took a day off today and it was nice not thinking about my next workout or eating right! I had Bar-B-Que and a snickers. Tomorrow is a new day. (Thanks) But today, I woke up supper early (a little bit before 4 a.m.) and couldn't get back to sleep. Maybe the lack of rest lead to the horrible migraine I have been fighting all morning. <br /><br />With all that said, of course I didn't workout this morning. I will try to get a workout in today if I kick the migraine. <br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">Question</span>....I have been looking for a really good ab video that doesn't require me to be a fitness expert or a dancing pro. I have my <span style="font-style:italic;">8 Mins Abs</span> and I like it, but it's over to fast for me. (Yes, I know, that sounds crazy right!) I have a few more that I am not feeling. I pray I don't get bored to quickly on the treadmill. I really need to get some new videos.<br /><br />I walked 3 miles. As long as I have my MP3 player, I am good to go! I had issues with my MP3 player today and it slowed me down. I normally do 4 miles in an hour with no issues. (Yeah, I was slacking today!) A big goal for this challenge will be able to post that pic showing 5 miles in an hour or less. I have tried a lot of things and the only thing that really worked <strong>for me</strong> was eating sensibly but allowing myself at least one off day to eat something I really really love. (Potatoes, Blue Bell Dutch Chocolate Ice Cream, or a slice of Pizza.)<br /><br /><ul><li>I do not eat anything white. Rice, potatos, flour products, sugar, bread, etc. I avoid all carbs except fruit. </li><li>I eat a lot of fruit and veggies. I make fresh juice from a juicer and I make smoothies (In the blender).</li><li>I eat more chicken and fish than any other meats. </li><li>I eat a lot of nuts! </li><li>I eat eggs.</li><li>I do not drink soft drinks at all.</li><li>KEY FACTOR for me was avoiding Fast Food!!!</li></ul>It really is pretty simple. I honestly do not do anything out of the norm. I also do a body cleanse (detoxing) about three times a year. It is simply working out twice a day for how ever many days a week you choose. I am doing Two A Day for 4 days a week. One of my besties started this challenge and I had to join in. (Plus it didn't help we had all these ladies claiming they already have the callenge in the bag!! Naaa, chickas! lol)<br /><br />I will add I am very busy. I am a full time student taking a very heavy course load, a full time employee, a mom, a wife, and a good friend. So if I can make the time to do this, anyone can!! Wish me well.
